Xincheng people themselves have a different perspective on Xincheng Town. Although Xincheng Greenway and Xincheng food are famous now, I don't think this can represent Xincheng.

Let me talk about my hometown Xincheng.

? The dialect of Xincheng Town is very distinctive among Jiaxing City. Once you hear it, you will know that you are from Xincheng and there is no mistaking it.

I remember that I used to have a relative in Shanghai who would tease me with a Xincheng dialect phrase "Gaai, Gade" (meaning it doesn't matter) whenever he saw me.

A language that will never disappear. Although I have been in Shanghai for a while, I still have almost forgotten Shanghainese. Xiao Penglai is located in the east of Xincheng Town. When I was a child, I didn’t live in Xiao Penglai very often.

Go, but it takes a long time every time. There is a row of low trees on the south side facing the river. Friends can easily climb the trees. Now I know that this row of old trees has a history of hundreds of years.

There is a small pond on the west side of Xiao Penglai. In spring, I would catch tadpoles from the pond and raise them. I still remember that one time I actually raised the tadpoles into small frogs.

The oldest ginkgo tree in Zhejiang now requires several people to hold it. Of course, I didn't know it had such a long history at the time. On the east side of the ginkgo tree, there is the Jiuqu Bridge (I forgot about Jiuqu, maybe Qiqu).

Qu). On the back side of Jiuqu Bridge, there is a rockery and activity room. ? Xiao Penglai still holds many memories of me. In fact, in my memory, I walked on the creaking stone road to go to school.

"Wait. ? There weren't many entertainment activities in childhood. Girls played rubber band jumping and playing house, while boys played marbles, rolled iron wheels, and flipped through foreign movies. For boys, fishing in summer was definitely the best.

It is a must activity. As a new boy, I also fished, but I only caught a few fish. It is embarrassing to say that I only caught crucian carp once, and the excitement was intoxicating.

The fish was pretty good. My highest record was that I caught more than 60 fish in one day, and then I killed them myself and let my mother explode the fish to eat. That’s a great thing? I am a Xincheng native, a real fisherman.
