2017 Chengdu Travel Guide

When you think of Chengdu, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Anyway, no matter what others think, for a foodie, it is definitely the food here, especially the hot pot in Chengdu. Sichuan is a magical place. In fact, it has experienced many twists and turns, and every earthquake moved us, but it survived strongly. If you can’t go to the beautiful Jiuzhaigou Valley this November, why not come to the streets and alleys of Chengdu to experience a different kind of food! There are many unexpected attractions waiting for you here!

Basically, there are many people queuing up here every day, both at noon and in the evening, so if you want to go, try to go early and recommend several restaurants. It’s hot and hot, and you can enjoy Chengdu’s delicacies without eating. Delicious food is a no-brainer.

Each store has its own characteristics, and every dish in this store is quite unique. This is one of the specialties. The pork ribs bought at home in the south are basically stewed. Because the bones are the best, sweet and sour pork ribs are rarely eaten.

The bullfrog inside is very tender, and paired with red chopped peppers, it looks very appetizing and is not particularly spicy.

In fact, the biggest feature of Chengdu cuisine is its spiciness. If you are a person who likes spicy food, then the food here will probably make you want to stop, but it is so spicy and so fragrant, which is why Chengdu food is so famous. Almost all the people who live in this place are unhappy with spicy food, so you can imagine this kind of food.

Besides the delicious food, we definitely need to digest it after a visit like this. What are some rare beauties?

From 010 to 1010, when I arrived in Chengdu, I couldn’t see the group. I can also see baby giant pandas here. Compared with the adult pandas in many local zoos, the baby pandas are dumber and cuter.

The park is divided into several areas where luggage can be stored for free. You can choose to take a sightseeing bus, and then you can see all the pandas from the inside. After that, you can also go to other places nearby where there are no pandas. There are surprises too.

There are many rare and endangered animals inside, including red pandas, peacocks, and black swans. They have always been neighbors of giant pandas, and they all live and breed leisurely here. You can see many rare animals here.

Tips:

Transportation: The Panda Base is still a bit far from the city. You can take Metro Line 3 or take the bus transfer. It takes about 30 minutes by car.

Tickets: Panda base tickets are less than 58 yuan, half price with student ID card.

Try to go as early as possible, because the panda babies take a nap too late and there will be more people.

It is recommended not to miss the panda delivery room. There are many newborn pandas sleeping and playing inside.

It is recommended to see the red pandas first, because if there are fewer people, you can save half an hour of queuing.

Giant pandas spend half of their time eating every day, and most of the remaining half of their time is spent sleeping, so make sure the time passes.

1. Panda Base

Kuanzhai Alley is a part of old Chengdu. It is young and does not need many scenic spots and monuments, but it is precisely because it is young that it can be closer to current life. Three old streets running east-west, a wide alley, a narrow alley, and a well alley, and the houses between the streets and alleys, form the whole of the wide and narrow alleys. The newly renovated buildings on both sides retain the style of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.

Some Sichuan specialties are sold along the street, such as rabbit heads, duck heads, spicy rabbits, pineapple rice, old Chengdu beef, dandan noodles and other delicacies.

Here, you can drink a bowl of tea, eat authentic Sichuan cuisine, and feel the customs and folk culture of old Chengdu.

The time in Kuanzhai Alley is spent in comfort, sitting leisurely in the courtyard, slowly enjoying afternoon tea, listening to the tunes coming from around, and killing time. Listen to music, sing operas, listen to folk songs, and talk about the mountains.

Tips:

(1) Sichuan Opera Face Changing is worth watching.

Introduce a family. Shuyun Garden is a store that integrates drama, tea, music, storytelling and chat.

2. Kuanzhai Alley

The casual taste of the metropolis, exquisite restaurants, and a unique atmosphere integrating history, culture, and commerce allow people to enjoy a good time in the busy city center. Everything here is lazy, natural, relaxed and tiring. You can go to the coffee shop here, order a cup of coffee and sit quietly for a while. There are often many activities here, and literature and art are the main lifestyle in Taikoo Li.

There are many different types of shops here, including the most beautiful bookstore in Chengdu, the largest MUJI in China, etc. There is also a line friengds cafe shop full of girly hearts.

In fact, the most amazing thing about Taikoo Li is the perfect combination of ancient town and modern shopping mall. It can be said that they are very attentive, which is also the biggest feature of this place. We are still sad that we are about to say goodbye. There are also many delicacies that you will never leave Chengdu!
