The results of the 2017 "National Ecological Cultural Villages" selection and naming activity were released. The first 116 national ecological cultural villages were Xiaoshao Village, Goujie Town, Yiliang County, Shuji Village, Zhuji Town, Shizong County, Qujing City, and Yongren, Chuxiong Prefecture.

Zhugeying Village in County, Puzhehei Village in Shuanglongying Town in Qiubei County, Manfeilong Village in Menglong Town in Jinghong City in Xishuangban Dai Autonomous Prefecture, and Iceland Village in Menku Town in Shuangjiang Autonomous County. Xiaoshao Village in Goujie Town in Yiliang County since 2003.

, Xiaoshao built an eco-tourism village based on fruits and dried mushrooms. This is also the first eco-tourism village in Yunnan Province approved and certified by the tourism administrative department (Kunming Municipal Tourism Bureau).

Shuji Village, Shuji Village, Zhuji Town, Shizong County, is a small mountain village with a history of more than 360 years. It is the "hometown of couplets and the hometown of Dou Qu". This small mountain village still retains a large number of residential buildings from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.

The most representative ones are Dou's ancestral hall and Dou's former residence.

On August 30, 2008, Zhugeying Village in Yongren County was affected by the 6.0-magnitude earthquake in Huili, Sichuan, and Zhugeying Village became a ruin.

After reconstruction, the whole village has been transformed into "Tuzhangfang". The newly built "Tuzhangfang" is either brick-concrete or stone-concrete. The walls are decorated with Yi-style murals and mascots such as tigers and cows. The "Tuzhangfang" that is most loved and respected by the Yi people

"Red, yellow, black, blue" and other main colors and elements of fire are also integrated into it.

In Puzhehei Village, Shuanglongying Town, Qiubei County, in recent years, local villagers have actively interacted and cooperated with the tourism department, and are committed to developing the rural eco-tourism economy in water towns, developing the Yi family's "black face", fishing boat rides, bullfighting and Sani-style performances, etc.

Specialty tourism provides Chinese and foreign tourists with one-stop services such as food, accommodation, transportation, travel, and shopping, and has truly changed the poverty-stricken appearance of local rural economic life.

Manfeilong Village, Menglong Town, Jinghong City, is a famous tourist village. It is famous for its traditional residential villages, mellow and simple folk customs, authentic and delicious Dai cuisine and the famous Manfeilong Pagoda.

Every year, a large number of Chinese and foreign tourists are attracted to the village to experience Dai culture and folk customs. The Dai-style farmhouses run by the villagers are even more unique, making Manfeilong Village a unique village in Menglong Town that integrates culture, religion and tourism.

Iceland Village, Menku Town, Shuangjiang Autonomous County, Iceland Village is located in the northeast of Menku Town, Shuangjiang Autonomous County, at an altitude of 1,680 meters.

For thousands of years, all the ethnic groups in the village have prospered together and have been closely associated with tea. Mengku large-leaf tea, represented by Icelandic tea, has been twice rated as the best tea by the National Tea Tree Improved Variety Committee because of its strong taste and rich content.
