Guangmei Highway, the national highway, passes through the town. Xiangshui is the birthplace of water resources, with pure water quality and abundant water. It has a waterworks with a daily output of 2, tons, and the pipe network covers industrial parks.

Xiangshui will become a strong power town in South Guangdong. The site of the "Three Gorges (Central China)-Guangdong 5KV Huizhou DC Converter Station" with an investment of 8 billion yuan is located in Xiangshui Town, where there are 11,-volt substations, forming three 11,-volt substations in Boluo, Xiangshui and Huzhen to supply power at the same time in a loop way, ensuring that there will never be a power outage, and it is abundant. It is one of the townships in South Guangdong Province with at least three substations supplying power at the same time.

The industries in Xiangshui Town are mainly leather, chemicals, knitting and shoemaking. Xiangshui River Rafting Tourist Area is the first tourist project to develop rafting in the Pearl River Delta. And it is the most natural drifting project in South Guangdong.
