Article 2 of the Measures for the Administration of Temporary Resident Identity Cards in People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that China citizens living in People's Republic of China (PRC) may apply for temporary resident identity cards if they are in urgent need during the period of applying for renewal or replacement of resident identity cards.

The steps for handling temporary id card are as follows:

1. Go to the police station where the permanent residence is located, submit the household registration book and my recent one-inch bareheaded black-and-white photo (the photo size standard is the same as the resident ID card), and pay the certificate fee of 65,438 yuan +00. /kloc-Citizens under the age of 0/6 shall apply by their guardians.

Two, the police station will be submitted to the county (city) public security bureau or district public security bureau for approval and issuance, and is responsible for the production of documents.

Three, the public security organ shall issue a certificate to the applicant within 3 days after receiving the application.

Four, citizens who have received a temporary identity card shall return the temporary identity card when receiving the identity card.
