Puning's delicacies include: Puning dried bean curd, Longnan sugar, Shiqiaotou bean phoenix and so on.
1. Puning dried beancurd was made in Guangnan Village, Liaoyuan Street. It was taught by He Yeyun, a military strategist in Chen Youliang, in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty. Known as "a million officials at night", many villagers have made them today. High-quality soybean is selected as the main raw material, and it is made through a series of processes such as grinding, deslagging, boiling, crystallization, blocking, briquetting and cooking.
2. It was created for Chen Guangtai Store in Dachanglong, and the number is now spread to 5 households. When making, peanut kernels are carefully selected, fried first, then cooked with white pork on a flat plate in Ding Yu, then boiled with maltose, white sugar and lard, and poured on peanut kernels and diced meat. The product is soft and non-sticky, sweet, tender and crisp, oily but not greasy, and it is one of the famous products of Chaoshan cake.
3. Compared with Dachanglongnan Sugar, Shiqiaotou Doufeng, both famous in Chaoshan, is less famous, but only when you personally go to Shiqiaotou to buy a box of authentic Doufeng and taste it, can you know its unique charm, although it is not as sweet and perfect as Dachanglongnan Sugar. However, the bean phoenix, which is made of Shiqiaotou specialty peanut, local high-quality and famous sucrose (namely Puning Sugar Factory) and the ancestral secret recipe, is absolutely the best. The taste is saturated and soft, the taste is sweet and mixed, and it is hard to resist with local peanut pulp.
