Birthday cake

A birthday cake is a delicacy and a necessity for a birthday. It first originated in the West, and then slowly spread to China. The earliest cakes were made of several simple materials. These cakes are symbols of ancient religious myths and magical superstitions.

Origin: Europeans in the Middle Ages thought that birthdays were the most vulnerable days for the soul to be invaded by demons, so on birthdays, relatives and friends would gather together to give blessings and send cakes to bring good luck and drive away demons.
