Bayuan Town belongs to Lantian County, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, formerly known as Bayuan Township. It is 22 kilometers away from Lantian County. It is located at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains and the southeastern part of the Guanzhong Plain, at 33°50'-34°19' north latitude and 109°07 east longitude.

Between '-109°49', it is one of the towns in Lantian County.

The township borders Luonan and Huaxian in the east, Baqiao and Chang'an in the west, Zhashui and Shangxian in the south, and Lintong and Weinan in the north.

The county has a total area of ??969 square kilometers, and its terrain is roughly composed of rivers in the southern mountains and northern ridges, and generally the hilly area at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains.

Bayuan Town is rich in mineral resources and is one of the major mineral resource towns in Lantian County.

Thirty-eight kinds of metallic and non-metallic minerals have been discovered, and 21 kinds have proven reserves. Among them, geothermal water, limestone, marble, kaolin, etc. are abundant.

According to a survey by the hydrogeology department, geothermal energy is mainly distributed in Jiaodai, Tangyu, Sanli Town and Huaxu areas. In 2008, 6 wells were installed, with water temperatures ranging from 47 to 60°C.

Among them, Qingping contains a large number of historical ancient houses and many temples, the most famous of which is Ci'en Temple. It also has a large number of strange rocks and trees, including Longtou Pine and Longtan.
