In ancient China, there was a monster called Nian, which had long tentacles and was fierce. Nian lived at the bottom of the sea for many years, and climbed ashore every New Year's Eve, devouring livestock and hurting people's lives. Therefore, every New Year's Eve, people in villages and villages fled to the deep mountains to avoid the harm of the "Nian" beast.
Then one year on New Year's Eve, an old beggar came from outside the village and told people how to drive away the Nian beast. It turns out that Nian is most afraid of red, fire and exploding. Since then, every year on New Year's Eve, every family has posted red couplets and set off firecrackers. Every household is brightly lit by candlelight, and it is better to wait for the new year. In the early morning of the first day, I have to say hello to my relatives and friends. This custom spread more and more widely and became the most solemn traditional festival among the people in China.
2. Lantern Festival
Legend has it that the Lantern Festival was set up in memory of Pinglu during the reign of Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty. After the death of Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang, Lv Hou's son Liu Ying became Emperor Hui of Han Dynasty. Huidi was born weak and indecisive, and the power gradually fell into the hands of Lv Hou. After Emperor Huidi died, Lv Hou monopolized the state affairs and turned Liu's world into Lu's world. The old courtiers and Liu's imperial clan were deeply indignant, but they were all afraid of Lv Hou's cruelty and dared to speak out.
After Lv Hou's death, Zhu Lv was afraid of being hurt and excluded. So, in the home of the general Lv Lu, they secretly assembled and conspired for the insurrection, so as to completely seize Liu Jiangshan. The matter reached the ears of Liu Xiang, the king of the imperial clan of Liu. In order to protect Liu Jiangshan, Liu Xiang decided to attack Zhu Lv and then got in touch with zhou bo and Chen Ping, the founding elders, and designed to lift Lv Lu. The "Zhu Lv Rebellion" was finally completely put down.
After the rebellion, all the ministers made Liu Heng, the second son of Liu Bang, the emperor of Han Dynasty. Deeply impressed by the hard-won peace and prosperity, Emperor Wen designated the 15th day of the first month to quell the rebellion of Zhulu as a day of having fun with the people, and every family in the capital decorated with lanterns to celebrate. Since then, the fifteenth day of the first month has become a popular folk festival-"Lantern Festival".
During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, the ritual activities of "Taiyi God" were scheduled for the 15th day of the first month. Taiyi: the God who rules everything in the universe. When Sima Qian founded the "taichu calendar", he had identified the Lantern Festival as a major festival.
3. Double Ninth Festival
According to legend, in the Eastern Han Dynasty, there was a plague demon in Ruhe River. As soon as it appeared, people in every household would fall ill and even die every day. The people in this area were ravaged by the plague demon, which was terrible. At that time, there was a young man named Hengjing in runan county. One year, the plague took away his parents and he almost died himself. After Heng Jing recovered from his illness, he bid farewell to his beloved wife and fellow villagers, and decided to go out to visit immortals to learn art and kill pests for the people.
Hengjing finally found an immortal with boundless magic in an ancient mountain. The immortal was moved by his tireless efforts and the spirit of killing pests for the people, and decided to take him as a disciple, give him a demon-reducing sword, and teach him the demon-reducing swordsmanship in secret. Hengjing forgot to eat and sleep, and practiced hard day and night, and finally developed an extraordinary martial arts.
One day, the immortal called Heng Jing to him and said, "Tomorrow is the ninth day of September, and the plague demon will come out to do evil again. Now that you have learned your skills, you should go back and kill the people!" . At this time, the immortal gave Heng Jing a pack of cornus leaves and a bottle of chrysanthemum wine, and gave him the secret to ward off evil spirits, so that Heng Jing immediately rode a crane to go home.
Heng Jing returned to his hometown. On the morning of September 9th, he led the villagers to a nearby mountain as instructed by the immortal, and gave everyone a piece of cornus leaf and a cup of chrysanthemum wine. At noon, the wind howled, the north wind suddenly rose, and it was dark. With a few piercing screams, the plague demon rushed out of Ruhe River and rushed to the foot of the mountain.

In ancient times, there were ten days in the sky at the same time, and the crops died in the sun, making the people miserable. A hero named Hou Yi was of infinite strength. He sympathized with the suffering people, drew his bow, shot down more than nine suns in one breath, and ordered the last one to rise and fall on time to benefit the people. Hou Yi's wife's name is Chang 'e. Hou Yi spent all his time with his wife except hunting. Many people with lofty ideals came here to study as a teacher, and Peng Meng, who had ulterior motives, also mixed in.
One day, Hou Yi visited friends in Kunlun Mountain and asked the Queen Mother for a pack of elixir. It is said that taking this medicine can instantly ascend to heaven and become immortal. However, Hou Yi was reluctant to leave his wife and temporarily gave the immortal medicine to Chang 'e for collection. Chang 'e hid the medicine in the treasure box of the dresser. Three days later, Hou Yi led his followers out hunting, and Peng Meng, who had ulterior motives, pretended to be ill and did not go out.
Shortly after Hou Yi led the crowd away, Peng Meng broke into the backyard of the inner house with a sword and threatened Chang 'e to hand over the elixir. Chang 'e knew that she was no match for Peng Meng. In a crisis, she turned and opened the treasure box, took out the elixir and swallowed it in one gulp. Chang 'e swallowed the medicine and immediately floated off the ground, rushed out of the window and flew to the sky. Because Chang 'e was concerned about her husband, she flew to the nearest moon and became a fairy.
In the evening, Hou Yi came home, and the maids cried about what happened during the day. Hou Yi was shocked and angry, and drew his sword to kill the villains. Peng Meng had already fled. Hou Yi was so angry that he was heartbroken and looked up at the night sky to call Chang 'e. At this time, he found that today's moon was exceptionally bright and bright, and there was a shaking figure resembling Chang 'e.
Hou Yi missed his wife, so he sent someone to Chang 'e's favorite back garden, set up a table incense, put on Chang 'e's favorite honey and fresh fruit, and offered a remote sacrifice to Chang 'e in the moon palace. After hearing the news that the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon became an immortal, people set up incense tables under the moon to pray for good luck and peace to the kind Chang 'e. Since then, the custom of Yue Bai in Mid-Autumn Festival has spread among the people.

According to legend, Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, Shen Tianshi and Taoist Hongdu all looked at the moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival, and suddenly Xuanzong had the idea of visiting the moon palace, so Tianshi did it, and the three of them started to go to Qingyun and roam the moon palace. However, the palace is heavily guarded, so it is impossible to enter, and you can only overlook the imperial city of Chang 'an.
at this moment, I suddenly heard the sound of immortals. Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty had always been familiar with melody, so he memorized it. This is precisely "this song should only be in the sky, and how many times can the world hear it!" In the future, Xuanzong recalled the music and singing of Xiane in the Moon Palace, composed music and choreographed by himself, and created the famous "colorful plumage" in history.
