Pyongyang hides tenderness you don't know.

A group gymnastics performance of 1, people, "Glorious Motherland", was held in Pyongyang Wuyi Stadium. The "artificial background wall" comparable to the electronic screen was uniform and colorful.

Traveling to North Korea is in June, and students in white school uniforms can often be seen in the square at night, refreshed and orderly.

Xiao Jin, the tour guide, proudly mentioned Arirang, another 1,-person group gymnastics that had been recorded in Guinness World Records before, and the May Day Stadium in Pyongyang. The stadium is located on the Lingluo Island in Datong, just like a huge parachute. The stadium has a total construction area of more than 27, square meters and can accommodate 15, people. It is claimed to be the largest stadium in the world at present.

The car is driving slowly on the streets of Pyongyang, and the greenery, macaroon-colored buildings and sincere guides accompanying us can be seen everywhere. The "mysterious" Pyongyang in the impression is tender and pure in reality. North Korea is worth visiting, and it is worth going again.

Pyongyang is more than 8 kilometers away from Beijing in a straight line. Although the geographical distance is so close, North Korea, as a tourist destination, always feels mysterious. History, complex, mystery and other factors make the trip to Pyongyang an exciting one. Nowadays, domestic tourists can travel from Dandong or Beijing to Pyongyang through group tours. In June this year, Air China resumed direct flights from Beijing to Pyongyang, which further narrowed the distance between China tourists and Pyongyang.

First acquaintance: deja vu and unexpected

Our tour guides Xiaojin and Xiao Fang came from North Korea International Travel Service. After our group flew to Pyongyang from Beijing, we saw them waiting for the arrival hall with smiling faces. There were many tour guides waiting for the arrival of the tour group that day. They all wore knee-length skirts and badges on their shirts, and their neat short hair was really beautiful.

I bought a "Korean tourist passport" at the airport, which can be stamped at various important scenic spots as a souvenir, and the trip to North 5 yuan officially started.

.

The Chinese-made "Golden Dragon" bus is driving us on a clean and tidy road with lush green belts on both sides. Buildings painted "macaroon", portraits of leaders, red slogans and political posters abound, but we don't see all kinds of billboards that we are used to in domestic cities.

The roadside houses in Pyongyang are painted in pink, sky blue, turquoise and other colors. According to the tour guide, most buildings with about 5 floors were built in 195s and 196s, while those with about 1 floors were built after 198s, and every household is equipped with floor heating.

On the streets of Pyongyang

Most of the men on the streets of Pyongyang are dressed in suits, trousers and white shirts, carrying briefcases in a hurry, and most of the women are dressed in knee-length skirts like our tour guides, with proper hairstyles. When the bus entered the downtown area of Pyongyang, it was probably just after work. Cars and bicycles were constantly flowing in the street, and people lined up in an orderly way in front of the bus station. Trams and trolleybuses rarely saw the common "low-headed people" in China, and people looked up at the window. Although it was the "rush hour", the whole city was not noisy.

North Korean streets

Tour guides are happy to introduce Pyongyang's neighborhoods with detailed figures. Built in the early 198s, the Maxima Street is covered with thick shade, and the buildings on both sides of the straight street were built in only six months, which is a veritable "Maxima Speed". The balconies of residential houses face the street, and flowerpots are placed on the balconies of every household.

Drive north along Maxima Street, and you can reach the People's Cultural Palace, the Ordinary Gate, the Wanshoutai Assembly Hall, the Korean Revolution Museum, the bronze statue of Maxima, and then the Peony Peak District, where there is the famous Arc de Triomphe and the DPRK-China Friendship Tower.

Liujing Hotel

Walk to the ordinary gate and you can see the legendary Liujing Hotel from afar. This once ill-fated building took nearly 3 years to build in Yu Jiancheng. The triangular pyramid-shaped building is about 33 meters high and ***15 stories high. It is a landmark building in Pyongyang, facing the ancient ordinary doors and connecting the past and the future.

Future Scientist Street

The Future Scientist Street was completed in November 215. The spiraling novel buildings are eye-catching. It is said that this is a large-scale residential area for science and technology workers and teachers in Pyongyang.

There are many skyscrapers on the streets of Pyongyang. Dawn Street, which was completed in 217, is a new landmark of the city, covering an area of 89, square meters and a total construction area of over 1.728 million square meters, and is often seen in newspapers and magazines. I read the latest issue of Korea Today magazine in Pyongyang with Dawn Street in Chaoyang as the cover. The towering skyscrapers and spacious streets show a new side of Pyongyang.

In front of Dawn Street is Kim Il Sung Comprehensive University. The brand-new teaching building and dormitory symbolize the local emphasis on talents. Further on, you can see the sports ground and the newly-built aquatic product restaurant. The blue and white glass buildings reflect the blue sky in Pyongyang.

When I first met Pyongyang, there were scenes of deja vu and unexpected surprises. Looking back on the past, this deja vu makes people tolerant and looks forward to the future rationally.

roaming by sea, land and air: the trip to Pyongyang is much more fun

Visitors who often go to Korean restaurants in China must be familiar with the refreshing taste of "Datong River Beer". Datong River is the fifth largest river in North Korea, and its tributaries flow through the center of Pyongyang, with Mudanfeng District, Central District, Tongjiang District, Pingchuan District, Wanjingtai District, Xiongshan District and Xicheng District on one side, and Datongjiang District, Dongdayuan District, Chuanqiao District, Le Lang District, Lipu District and Sidong District on the other. Many important scenic spots in Pyongyang are located on both sides of the Datong River, and the winding Datong River adds a gentle color to the city.

the Datong river cruise is an experience you can't miss during your trip to Pyongyang. Get on the boat at the cruise terminal of the "Datong River" boat restaurant next to the site of Datong Gate, and take a two-story cruise ship "Datong River" which can accommodate 3 guests and sail slowly on the calm river. You can enjoy singing and dancing while tasting authentic Pyongyang cuisine.

Young Korean girls take turns to perform distinctive Korean songs and dances, with guqin, bass and saxophone interspersed among them, and classic Chinese songs undoubtedly aroused the chorus of the audience. The fresh and rich Datong River food and refreshing beer marked a happy ending for the first day of Pyongyang's trip.

Datong River

As night falls, the red torch on the main thought tower on the other side becomes more and more transparent and bright. Yangjiaodao Hotel International Hotel, which is familiar to China tourists, is located on Yangjiaodao Island in the middle of Datong River, surrounded by the river, and sits firmly in a corner. In the breeze, the cruise ship slowly landed, and the cornices and arches of Datong Gate exuded gorgeous colors under the light, which reflected each other with the distant skyscrapers in the shape of double helix, just like crossing.

Datong Gate

Taking a boat trip to the Datong River can give you considerable scenery on both sides of the strait, but if you want to overlook Pyongyang from a height, the main thought tower is the best choice.

The main thought tower located on the east bank of Datong River was completed in 1982, which was built to commemorate the seventieth birthday of Kim Il Sung. The building is 17 meters high, among which, the tower is 15 meters high, and the two characters of "main body" are embedded in Korean in the front and back of the upper part of the tower. The torch at the top of the tower is 2 meters high and has a tray with a diameter of 8 meters. The torch can be lit at night and looks like a burning flame in the distance.

The whole building complex consists of the main tower, three portraits of people, six sub-theme portraits, two pavilions and two large fountains, covering a total area of 15, square meters. On the left and right sides of the tower, there are granite portraits with the themes of "main industry", "bumper harvest", "country of learning", "healthy longevity", "main art" and "fortress like iron wall".

climb the stairs from the entrance of the main tower street. After visiting the signature cards presented by various countries at the entrance of the tower, you can enter the tower, queue up and take the high-speed elevator to 15 meters from the main tower, overlooking Pyongyang.

Overlooking

The observation deck is shaped like a lotus, allowing visitors to enjoy a 36-degree panoramic view of Pyongyang without dead ends. Most of the high-altitude photos of Pyongyang seen on the Internet were taken here.

overlooking the banks of the Datong River, there are stocky colorful houses on one side and ever-changing skyscrapers on the other, and the slowly flowing Datong River is slowly witnessing the changes of this city.

Another legendary project in Pyongyang is hidden 1 meters underground. After understanding the whole city in the cloud, it is better to go deep underground and feel the daily life of Pyongyang people in the subway.

Subway

The subway in Pyongyang was built in 1966, which was initiated by Kim Il Sung after he visited the underground railway system under construction in Beijing.

as a whole, it is a typical Soviet-style grand architectural style. As the deepest buried subway line in the world, the deepest depth is 2m, and the average depth is 1m. At the same time, it has the function of air-raid shelter, and it is specially designed for wars that may occur at any time.

Subway

The subway fare in Pyongyang is only 5 won, with no limit on the number of stops. The guide took us from Fuxing Station and took one stop to Glory Station. Taking the elevator slowly into the ground, we curiously took photos and videos with our mobile phones and cameras, and the people in Pyongyang who came and went seemed to have become accustomed to it.

Subway

The subway station is brightly lit, melodious national music is played on the radio, and the murals on both sides are mostly about the story of the leader and the scenery of North Korea. According to the tour guide, the subway has 17 carriages, which run every 2 minutes on average during the peak hours and every 5 minutes at other times. The subway line is 35 kilometers, with a distance of about 2 to 3 kilometers, and most of them are built near residential areas. It is said that the unit will issue subway cards to employees every year, which can be used to take more than 4 subways.

Outside Pyongyang: Kaesong with a long history and Miaoxiang Mountain with beautiful scenery

In addition to Pyongyang, Kaesong with a long history and Miaoxiang Mountain with beautiful scenery are also the must-visit destinations for travel groups to North Korea.

Kaesong is 17 kilometers away from Pyongyang, and it takes 2.5 hours by car. Leaving Pyongyang, there are fewer and fewer high-rise buildings, replaced by large areas of farmland and wasteland. Kaesong, located on the north side of the north-south dividing line, is the capital of the first great dynasty to unify the Korean peninsula. It was once called Songdu and Kaijing. Due to the spread of numerous historical and cultural sites, on June 23, 213, Kaesong Historical and Monument Area successfully applied for the World Heritage as a whole and became the second world cultural heritage of North Korea.

there are many historical sites and cultural relics in Kaesong, including the ancient city of Kaesong, the Full Moon Terrace, the south gate of Kaicheng, Sungkyunkwan, Songyang Academy, Wang Jian's Mausoleum and Gongcheng's Mausoleum. A long history has left behind classic poems, classics, buildings and cultural relics for future generations to mourn.

Today's Koryo Museum, Koryo Sungkyunkwan, is located in Kaicheng, which was once the highest institution of learning in the Koryo Dynasty, imperial academy, and was a place for aristocratic children to learn Confucianism. Pines and cypresses stand upright in the courtyard, and a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree is a precious living fossil, witnessing its historical changes. Six ancient buildings that have been repaired several times still retain the momentum of the year.

More than 1, cultural relics in the museum are quietly displayed in simple ancient buildings. Among them, there are Korean celadon from the ruins of the palace of the Korean dynasty, which is "as subtle as sapphire and as exquisite as crystal", and daily necessities that can let people know the lifestyle of people in the Korean dynasty.

Panmunjom, 8 kilometers away from the city, was originally a little-known place, but it was chosen by history and became famous in the world. On July 27th, 1953, the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed here, and Panmunjom was also called "Armistice Village".

negotiation venue

according to records, the Korean armistice negotiations started on July 1th, 1951 in Laifengzhuang, a suburb of Kaesong controlled by the north, and moved to Panmunjom, a military demarcation line, on October 25th, 1951. At that time, there were no buildings here, so we had to use some temporary military tents as the negotiation venue. The night before the armistice agreement was signed, engineers and technicians from the DPRK and China miraculously built a wooden hall with Korean national characteristics.

negotiation venue

Today, this signature hall, together with the negotiation venue of that year, has become a historic memorial place. For a period of time after the Korean armistice, Panmunjom was still used as the meeting place of Armistice Commission.

Signature Hall

After the armistice, the two sides built 24 buildings in this "Joint Security Zone" with a diameter of about 8 meters. "Banmen Pavilion" and "Unification Pavilion" have been built in the north, and "Freedom House" and "Peace House" have been built in the south, which are the locations of liaison institutions and places for dialogue between the north and the south respectively. On the military demarcation line, there are also seven simple wooden houses with sky blue.

Military demarcation line

Today, Panmunjom has become a tourist spot. Visitors to North Korea are arranged to visit the metropolis, and they can see the buildings on the other side through seven wooden houses. Tourists have taken pictures here, hoping for peace.

unlike Kaesong, which bears a heavy history, Miaoxiang Mountain in the northwest of North Korea is famous for its wonderful and beautiful natural landscape. One of the four famous mountains in North Korea, which straddles the junction of South Pyongan Road, Cijiang Road and North Pyongan Road, is called Miaoxiang Mountain because of its wonderful and mysterious mountain, and the fragrant arborvitae on the mountain. There is a saying that "three thousand miles of beautiful mountains and rivers are all places of interest, and you can't talk about the scenery until you see Miaoxiangshan".

Miaoxiang Mountain

Deep in the beautiful Miaoxiang Mountain, there is a well-known international friendship exhibition hall in North Korea, which shows some of the more than 213, gifts presented to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il by many countries, organizations and individuals in the world.

Exhibition Hall

The exhibition hall is composed of Kim Il Sung International Friendship Hall (the museum) and Kim Jong Il International Friendship Hall (the other hall). The former is larger than the latter, and both of them are multi-storey large-scale Korean-style buildings. It looks like a wooden structure from a distance, but it is actually a concrete building. The indoor constant temperature is controlled at 2℃ all the year round. After passing through the gate weighing 4 tons, it is forbidden to take photos and make noise in the museum.

Enjoy the taste of North Korea: Eat naturally

The abundance of food on the trip to North Korea was unexpected, which made tourists relish it. In particular, natural, non-added fresh ingredients make people feel at ease along the way.

Korean ginseng in Kaesong is the most well-known accompanying gift, and when you come to Kaesong, you have an indispensable experience, that is, the special copper bowl meal. It is said that this is the eating experience of the King of Korea, and the copper utensils are placed on the table in turn, which is full of ceremony.

Special Copper Bowl Meal

The waiter brought steaming ginseng chicken, and the golden yellow chicken soup was delicious.
