Zhongshan, Guangdong Province is located in the south-central part of the Pearl River Delta, bordering Lingdingyang in the east. Among the eight sea passages in the Pearl River, Modaomen, Hengmen and Li Hongqi go to sea through the market. Known as "Xiangshan" in ancient times, it is a national historical and cultural city and one of the representative cities of Guangfu culture. Xiangshan Culture, which originated in Zhongshan, is an important source of modern culture in China. Zhongshan is the hometown of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, a great man, with outstanding people and celebrities. At the same time, Zhongshan is also an important node city in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and one of the regional central cities in Guangdong Province.
After visiting the ancient landmark "Yandun Tower" in Zhongshan (friends who are interested in details can read the previous article "Ancient Landmark in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, which is called" Writing Style "by local people and is one of the" Eight Scenery of Xiangshan "), Shanshan crossed the pedestrian street and crossed the bridge to Qijiang Park.
Located in the center of Zhongshan City, Qijiang Park is a theme park transformed from the former site of Yue Zhong Shipyard in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. The design of the park when it was rebuilt was very interesting. It introduces some design concepts of western environmental protection, ecological restoration and urban renewal, and is a successful example of the protection and reuse of industrial sites. Qijiang Park has won numerous awards at home and abroad: in 2002, it won the Annual Honorary Design Award of American Association of Landscape Architects, the China Architectural Art Award, the National Fine Arts Exhibition Gold Award and the China Modern Excellent National Architecture Comprehensive Gold Award, the 2008 World Urban Waterfront Excellent Design "Highest Honor Award" and the 2009 ULI Asia-Pacific Outstanding Honor Award ... Therefore, Shanshan took time to visit the park.
Walking along the Qijiang River, approaching the entrance of Qijiang Park, I saw an abandoned railway, and some mechanical shapes seemed to be full of artistic design. Go ahead from the railway, and it is Qijiang Park. At this time, Qijiang Park still retains the most representative workshops, buildings and production tools on the original site of Zhongshan Yue Zhong Shipyard. After artistic treatment by designers, the original landmark objects such as docks, skeleton water towers, rails, machines and gantry cranes are connected in series, which records the brilliant and fiery memories of the shipyard and forms a complete story.
Back in time, let's review the predecessor of Qijiang Park: Zhongshan Yue Zhong Shipyard. Yue Zhong Shipyard is the first factory newly built after the liberation of Zhongshan, and also the first provincial state-owned factory. It used to be the symbol of Zhongshan's industrialization development, which started at 1954 and ended at 1999, and experienced a arduous and meaningful industrialization process in new China.
In the early days, the shipyards in central Guangdong mainly built wooden marine fishing boats. In the 1960s, Guangdong began to strengthen inland passenger transport. Guangdong Central Shipyard built the first iron-powered passenger ship "Hongyu" in the province, which was later renamed as "Red Star" and gradually replaced the wooden "Huawei Capital". Since then, the shipyard mainly produces Shagang inland river and coastal transport ships. In order to cooperate with the national policy, Yuezhong Shipyard later built a number of transport ships, which were specially used for exporting goods to and from Hong Kong, Macao and other provinces. Unfortunately, the shipyard began to decline in the 1980s and was completely closed in 1999. In the same year, the Zhongshan municipal government decided to transform this place, which is what we see now.
Shanshan walked around the park for a week, and there were several impressive landscapes such as amber water tower, skull water tower, red memory and Zhongshan Art Museum. At the same time, docks, skeleton water towers, tracks, machines, gantry cranes, etc. In these landscapes, people feel retro and nostalgic, and the design layout full of design sense is very suitable for taking pictures, so that you who love taking pictures can shoot literary blockbusters in minutes.
Of course, besides taking photos, you can also savor the design here: the amber water tower on Banyan Island near Qijiang is made of a glass shell made of a metal frame on the old water tower. The designer thought it was solidified in amber like an ancient insect, so it was named amber water tower; The skeleton water tower is an old water tower with stripped cement, and the remaining steel bars remain in the original place. Designers believe that this is like people in the world, regardless of gender, high or low, will eventually belong to a pair of bones. Sun Yat-sen Art Museum is the main building of Qijiang Park. The external wall columns are made of lemon yellow cement columns, and there are iron-blue I-steel frames on the shelves, which are separated by large floor-to-ceiling glass. The whole design is like a factory workshop ... take your time and you will find different things.
Qijiang park, the whole park is equipped with fences, cleverly defining the park with streams, so that the park is in harmony with the surrounding environment. It's really comfortable in such a place in the city!
