Mountain noodle sauce is a veritable snack in Taizhou. It takes sweet potato powder as the main component, and can be made into two different tastes of salty and sweet according to personal preference. Xianshan noodle sauce mostly uses diced meat, shredded mushrooms, broad bean petals, diced winter bamboo shoots, rice cakes, dried bean curd and peanuts as seasonings. Sweet mountain noodle sauce is served with red dates, raisins, orange cakes, lotus seeds, longan meat, peanuts, brown sugar and other foods.
