The drama tells the indomitable struggle history of a kind woman, Yue Niang, and the essence of Niang culture through the grievances of several generations in a big family.
Ju Xiang was born in a big family in China. She is the daughter of a humble aunt. She is gentle and beautiful. She learned cooking and needlework from her mother when she was very young. Deaf and deaf, she was discriminated against. On the eve of the Japanese going south, she was arranged to marry a rich aunt.
Juxiang resisted running away from her marriage and met a young Japanese photographer. After some twists and turns, they got married and gave birth to their daughter Yueniang. Turbulent times made her suffer. Her husband died, and so did she, leaving her 8-year-old mother.

"little nyonya" goes through the family story of "Nianpao" for decades and generations, and the emotional line of "All shall be well, jack shall have Jill" moves step by step, which makes this drama have a strong retro atmosphere.

However, the drama did not break away from the traditional narrative style of women's self-sacrifice and motherhood, and its portrayal of Moon Mother was still a traditional female image, not a modern female image.
