The species of Ci bamboo include Ma bamboo growing in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Guizhou and Yunnan; green bamboo growing in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Taiwan, and Zhejiang; and silk bamboo growing in Guangdong and Guangxi. Bamboo and large-headed sweet bamboo; Ci bamboo growing in Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Yunnan; Liangshan Ci bamboo growing in Guangxi, Guizhou, and Sichuan.

The species of Bamboo include Haematopsia growing in Guangdong, Guangxi, and Fujian, and Chetong bamboo growing in Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan, and Guizhou. Varieties of the genus Bamboo include Huizhu, which grows along the southeastern coast.
