Tools/raw materials: colored paper, carving knife, scissors, glue 1. Prepare a piece of cardboard and roll it into a cylinder.

2. Use a carving knife to carve parallel lines evenly on a new piece of cardboard.

3. Glue the engraved cardboard tightly to make the prototype of the lantern.

4. Put the paper tube inside the lantern and glue it.

5. Cut a thin strip and attach it to the head of the lantern as a handle.

6. After sorting it out, the making of the lantern is completed.
