This film is based on the story that a reinforced battalion of the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division of the Third Theater of the Chinese National Revolutionary Army, known as the 800 Heroes, stood firm in the four-row warehouse along the Suzhou River and stopped the Japanese army.

Eight hundred heroes were ordered to stick to the Shanghai Sifang warehouse, fought bravely, fought for four days and four nights with fewer enemies, and finally wrote an epic heroic battle song with blood.

The background of the story is that during the Battle of Songhu, the Kuomintang troops in China have been defeated and withdrawn from Shanghai, and Xie Jinyuan, deputy head of the 524th Regiment of the 262nd Brigade of the 88th Kuomintang Division, led the remnants to stick to Siping Warehouse.

The soldiers in the film held their positions with flesh and blood, repelled the enemy's attacks again and again, and shattered the enemy's attempt to seize the position for three hours.

At the critical moment, the bloody soldiers covered with grenades shouted their native places and names one after another, jumped into enemy camps, blew up tanks and held their ground.

This scene moved Chinese and foreign people in the concession on the other side of Suzhou River, and also made the moviegoers burst into tears.
