Dalong, known as the "gateway to the east of Guizhou", is located between east longitude108 34'-109 09' and north latitude 27 08'-27 31',which is very important to the west of Hunan Province and at the junction of southwest and south-central Guizhou Province. The town covers an area of 83 square kilometers, governs 19 villages and 1 neighborhood committees, with a total population of 3,2451person, including 25,645 agricultural people. At present, the cultivated land area is 790 hectares, and the per capita cultivated land of farmers is only 0.46 mu. There are 120 enterprises in China. Dalong Development Zone was established in August 1992, upgraded to provincial economic development zone in July/999, and became Tongren Industrial Park in 200 1.
