On the weekend, I heard that many red-billed gulls migrated to the intersection of the two rivers, so I decided to meet these lovely elves in the bright sunshine.
As I got off the light rail from Linjiangmen and walked all the way to Chaotianmen, I saw construction everywhere. No matter how dull you are, you can feel the city's ambition to upgrade from this vigorous construction activity.
Closed construction site
Starting from Cotton Street, there are no sidewalks in the Chaotianmen area without construction barriers.
People with different accents crowded together on the narrow road. The charm of Chongqing is so irresistible, even if the dust becomes visible to the naked eye along the way.
The difficulty of passage makes people criticize, but the easy overcoming makes people choose to understand. After all, the temporary inconvenience is to make the mountain city more convenient and is a necessary foundation for realizing the vision of global travel in Chongqing and even Chongqing.
In front is Raffles City. Raffles City, which is under construction and opening at the same time, is estimated to be the largest commercial flagship in Chongqing. If you've seen the photos, it's just a couple of very tall buildings. If you come in front of it, under the exquisite garden landscape in all directions, it is a well-deserved Big Mac! There was a voice of despair in my heart: Even if I gave myself a month, I still wouldn't be able to visit one-tenth of it.
Looking up
I have not forgotten my original intention of coming to Chaotianmen. I walked through the two rows of jacarandas welcoming the people under the majestic building, and stood on the high platform to look at the intersection of the two rivers.
The intersection of two rivers
The setting sun leaves its shadow on the glass curtain wall of the high-rise building on the south bank. The Grand Theater in the north of the river shows its iron-clad body, far away. The Chaotianmen Bridge forms a charming arc.
Unfortunately, the red-billed gull that was promised to fly lightly was too far away to see clearly.
Go back the same way, enter the Raffles Building, and find your way down to Chaotianmen Square. The square is crowded with people, and tourists from the south and north shuttle here to the zero-kilometer starting point of Chongqing, recording their favorite Chongqing on their cameras.
Go down from the steps on the side of the square to the riverside, sit down and feel the murmur of the gentle waves. Focusing on the vast water surface, the red-billed gull that had been calling for a long time finally appeared.
There is a saying in Chongqing’s slogan, “Traveling a thousand miles leads to vastness.” The essence can only be understood in this place where the waves are vast and the mountains in the distance are as dark as sunrise.
Please look for the red-billed gull
The waves are sparkling, white birds are flying; big ships are anchored, and yachts are rowing in the water.
Broad vision leads to a broad mind. Sitting among row upon row of people is like sitting in a movie theater, with only yourself remaining fully focused.
Slowly, the lights began to turn on. The turbulent river surface shines with colorful lights. The gorgeous Liangjiang cruise ship is covered with colorful lights and shadows and sails towards the center of the river.
I could no longer see the situation on the river clearly, so I stood up and turned around, jumping into the bright Chongqing.
Sail to the sky
Brilliant
On the way home, there are construction sites everywhere, Shaanxi Road, Chopstick Street, Shui Alley, Datong Street, National The roads... everywhere I could name were brightly lit and excavators roared in the fenced-off areas.
Countless pedestrians are flocking to Cangbai Road. The beauty of Hongya Cave is really irresistible. Of course, that side was also turned into a construction site.
Cathay Center
What kind of "terrible" existence does Chongqing want to make itself?
When I walked through Chopstick Street in the afternoon, I was thinking about it; now that I have returned to Jiefangbei, I am still thinking about it. I even thought of the Datianwan Stadium, which is also under construction, and the Working People's Cultural Palace, which is also being closed for renovation. Even the Chongqing Center at Lianglu Intersection, which had been suspended for many years, has begun to thrive...
Looking further afield, Liangjiang New District in the north continues to expand, and the former wilderness has transformed into a bustling city; The science city in the west is in the ascendant, and large-scale enterprises have replaced the shabby places with the most modern image.
Chongqing is not simple! Chongqing, that’s too much! Chongqing, no wait! Chongqing, I can’t bear it anymore!
Liberation Monument
The booming Chongqing has accumulated a lot of experience, and finally in the second decade of the 21st century, it has a clear plan to guide the future.
It is foreseeable that big construction brings big development. In the future, Chongqing will undoubtedly maintain its reputation as the “No. 1 city in the Southwest” and will also serve as a model blueprint for defining the future.
Chongqing, the more you go too far, the more we who are embraced by you will be inseparable from you, and the more we will connect you with the simplest joy...
