1. Planting time. There are two main planting times for Beibei pumpkins. Spring and autumn are suitable for sowing and planting. If you choose spring planting, you can choose it in December-January before spring. In some areas, planting even starts in November. After planting, it will be on the market very early, and it will be mature and available in about April in spring. If you choose to plant in autumn, you can choose around July.

2. Method

(1) Prepare seeds. Go to the seed store in advance to buy seeds, and be careful about the time to avoid buying seeds that are long past their expiration date. After dismantling, remove the shriveled seeds with wormholes.

(2) Seed processing. First put the seeds in the sun to dry, then prepare warm water of 50-60 degrees, soak the seeds in to absorb the water, then put them in moist gauze and put them in a warm place to germinate.

(3) Sowing. Prepare the nutrient soil for sowing, water it enough to keep it moist, lay the seeds flat and sow them in, cover them with soil and spray water.

(4) Colonial planting. When the seedlings grow 3-4 leaves, the soil can be prepared for planting. Apply enough base fertilizer to the soil to allow the roots to fully absorb nutrients and promote root growth.

(5) Post-production management. In the subsequent maintenance and management, in addition to ensuring good water and fertilizer, Beibei pumpkins must also be pinched and removed from the top branches, and planted for about 10 days. After the flowers bloom, they must be pollinated.
