Synopsis

Leung Siu Tong (Tse Tin Wah), nicknamed "Laughing Bro", successfully completes an undercover mission and is given a new job at CIB. However, Chief Harry (Lau Chung Yan) and his boss Jodie (Fala Chen) are suspicious about the death of his manipulator and find out something else in the investigation.

After the recruitment of CIB, Laughing and Jodie become a pair of enemies due to their different training philosophies, and they are at odds with each other. Harry has to take care of his wife who is suffering from cancer, and has to deal with his ex-girlfriend, Yuen Kwan-lan, who was just released from jail after being incarcerated for two decades, but his son, Aidon, who is an outstanding dancer and a willingness to help others, puts his mind at ease.

In order to fight against Yee Hing, Laughing cultivates a crippled CoMichael (Wong Chung Chak) as an informant. The latter is gradually reused in the fight between gang leader Chilli Ginger and Willie, and breaks away from Laughing's control, rekindling his love for his former lawyer girlfriend, Coco Yiu (Tsui Chi-Shan) and working his way up to the top.

With the return of gangster Mok Yat-lit, a police undercover battle and black-and-white human struggle intensifies.
