Shanghai Railway Station, also known as Shanghai New Passenger Station, is located in Jing 'an District, Shanghai, China, adjacent to Shanghai Long-distance Passenger Terminal. It is a special station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and an important part of Shanghai Railway Hub.

Shanghai Railway Station was built on 1908 and rebuilt on 1984 in September, 19871February 28th, and the rebuilt Shanghai Railway Station was officially put into operation. As of May 20 10, the total area of Shanghai Railway Station is 97,000 square meters, the area of South Square is 67,000 square meters, the area of North Square is 30,000 square meters, and the platform lines are 7 sets 15 line.
