Canine distemper can be treated at home with antiviral drugs, such as canine distemper monoclonal antibodies, interferon, serum, etc.
In order to prevent secondary infections, it is recommended to use antibiotics together. If the cough is severe, the dog can be given subcutaneous injections of butorphanol, pentovirine, aminophylline and other drugs. If there are excessive respiratory secretions, nebulization treatment with normal saline can be used.
