Yimeng Black Pig:
Origin (or distribution): north of Linyi City, Shandong Province.
Number: 1978 statistics have more than 60,000 breeding sows.
Main Characteristics: Medium size, medium head size, wide forehead, with money-shaped wrinkles, medium-large ears, hard ear roots, ear tips tilted forward hood, short and slightly pouting mouth tube, broad and deep chest, straight and wide back and waist, strong limbs, gray skin, black coat, divided into large, medium and small types. The adult boar weighs 199 kilograms and the sow 154.3 kilograms. The first litter is 8 to 9, and the mature litter is 10 to 11. Daily weight gain during the fattening period is 419~680 grams, slaughter rate is 76.3%, fat thickness is 4.6 cm, and lean meat rate is 43.9%.

I. Hanjiang Black Pig
Origin (or distribution): Hanjiang River Basin, southern Shaanxi.
Number: In 1982, there were more than 400,000 head in the survey.
Main Characteristics: There are two types of black pigs with big ears and black pigs with small ears. The former can be divided into "lion's head" and "horse face" two types, horse face type pig body size, head, face straight, long body, high legs; lion's head type head short and wide, face slightly concave, ear big drooping, up to the corner of the mouth or with the mouth, shaped like a fan, ear root is softer, the mouth tube thick. The small-eared pig has a small head, a pointed mouth, small and thin ears, hard ear roots, half-drooped, only up to the eyes, shaped like apricot leaves. Adult boars weigh 61 to 138 kilograms, sows 92 kilograms. Sexual maturity early, rural boars 3 to 4 months of age, sows 4 to 5 months of age to start the first mating, the first litter of 8 to 9, after the litter of 10. Daily weight gain during the fattening period is 561 grams, slaughter rate is 66%, leg and hip ratio is 27.5%, and lean meat rate is 49.3%.
Two, Guangdong East Black Pig
Origin (or distribution): Huiyang, Rao Ping and Jiao Ling in Guangdong Province.
Number: In 1981, there were more than 40,000 breeding sows.
Main Characteristics: slightly rectangular in shape, with a clean head, broad and flat forehead, with only a few inverted eight-letter shaped or diamond shaped folds, small sloping ears, a slightly longer and more pointed mouth tube, a narrow jaw, which is known as the "Wo Shrimp Head" by the local people, with a slightly concave dorsal girdle and a slightly larger abdomen, but not dragging the ground, and with upright, firm and powerful limbs of moderate length. The coat is black. Adult boars weigh 75 kilograms, sows 58.5 kilograms. Sexual maturity is early. The first litter has 9-10 piglets, and the third litter has 11-12 piglets. Daily weight gain during the fattening period is 281 grams, slaughter rate is 70.3%, and lean meat rate is 46%.
