Dieffenbachia picta Lodd. (scientific name: Dieffenbachia picta Lodd.), also known as Dieffenbachia, is a plant of the genus Dieffenbachia in the family Araceae.
The stem is 1 meter high, 1.5-2.5 cm thick, and the internodes are 2-4 cm long; the lower petiole has a long sheath, the middle petiole has a sheath to the middle, the upper petiole is long, and the sheath almost reaches the top. There is a wide groove; the leaves are oblong, oblong-elliptic or oblong-lanceolate, 15-30 cm long and 7-12 cm wide, with a round or sharp base, a slightly narrow apex with a sharp tip, and dark sides. Green, shiny, with many oblong or linear oblong plaques of different sizes between the veins. The plaques are white or yellow-green and irregular; 15-20 pairs of grade I lateral veins, ascending, grade II lateral veins Slender, with a raised back. Inflorescence stalk short. The spathe is oblong-lanceolate, narrow and sharp. Spadix: lower female inflorescence reaches the middle; sterile neutral inflorescence accounts for 1/3 of the total length, flowers are scattered; ovary has 2 or 3 carpels, and stigmas are nearly separated. Berry orange-yellow-green, 2-3 cells.
