Wuchang rice is a specialty of China, Heilongjiang, Harbin and wuchang city. Wuchang rice has a long history of cultivation in China. As early as the Tang Dynasty, rice was planted in Wuchang. At the age of ten, it was even named Gong Mi, specially sent to Beijing for the royal family to enjoy, so it was also called "Millennium Rice, Century Gong Mi".
Influenced by the unique geographical and climatic conditions of Wuchang, some soluble double-stranded sugars have accumulated in Wuchang rice, which is very beneficial to our health. Authentic Wuchang rice is slightly white in appearance, full of particles and very hard. After cooking, the granules are shiny and have a strong smell.
Selected Wuchang rice
1. Look at the label on the package: the product with GB/T 19266, the origin of which is "wuchang city" and the logo of "Wuchang Rice, People's Republic of China (PRC) Geographical Indication Protection Product" is authorized by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, which meets the requirements of the national standard of Wuchang Rice, and the product quality is relatively more guaranteed.
2. Look at the factory and origin: In cities like Wuchang and Panjin, where rice is the pillar industry, the rice association is very strong, and it is stipulated that local raw grain must be processed in local factories before it can be qualified. However, some big manufacturers then bought the processed rice from Wuchang for packaging and re-listing.
3. Look at the appearance of rice: grab a handful of rice by hand and observe whether there are different kinds of rice. Products with more different kinds of rice have lower purity; Generally, the pure Wuchang rice fragrance will have chalkiness. Chalk is the white thing in the picture below. Chalkiness is mainly determined by rice seeds themselves. If the whole bag of rice is cut off one by one, it is definitely not the fragrance of Wuchang rice.
