Simple ways to make lanterns for primary school students

Making handmade lanterns is actually quite simple. I know two methods.

The first one does not have a small lamp inside, it is just in the shape of a lantern. First find a rectangular piece of colored cardboard. First fold the paper along its length to make a deep mark, and then fold it horizontally into about 9-10 creases. Then use scissors to cut along the crease from the inside without cutting both sides of the paper. After cutting it, wrap a circle around the rectangular piece of paper. Secure both sides of it together with double-sided tape. Just seal the top and bottom with small cardboard.

The second method is also very simple, you can put a small lamp inside. Or find a piece of colorful rectangular cardboard and cut out some cute little patterns on it, a bit like paper cutting. Then stick the two sides with double-sided tape like the previous one. Use another piece of cardboard to apply glue and seal the bottom. You can place a small glowing lantern inside, so that the twinkling pattern can be seen from the outside and it will be very beautiful. In addition, it is not recommended to put candles inside lanterns because the paper can easily be ignited and is dangerous to primary school students.
