It is best to use a hook of size 7 or above.
1. Top grade bait: Nereis.
At present, there are more than 80 species of nereis in China. It likes to inhabit coastal beaches with fresh water. When I was young, I ate plankton in seawater, and when I grew up, I ate humus.
Because marine fish are basically predatory fish with fierce personalities, highly active baits such as live shrimp, live small fish, sea worms and sea centipede (Nereis) with tube maggots can naturally attract marine fish, with the lowest decoupling rate and excellent effect.
2. Chinese bait: diced scallops
This kind of bait can be bought in the market, and fish are willing to eat it, and the effect is not bad. Similar to scallops are sea rabbits, squid, sea clams, shellfish and so on.
3. Inferior bait: fish intestines, earthworms, chicken intestines, lean pork, beef, diced mutton, etc. These baits can also catch fish, but some baits are not very effective and some fish don't like them very much.
4. Squid
This bait is a bit expensive, and it hurts for a long time every time. The use method is also very simple, that is, remove the skin of squid and chop it into strips. You can use it directly (pay attention to buy a medium-sized squid when you buy it, it doesn't need to be very big! )
5. Sunny days are rotten
A small marine fish with low price. Common individuals are between 10 and 15cm. Smaller individuals can be hooked as a whole, and the hook tip penetrates from the fish mouth and protrudes from the back. Individuals are larger and can be segmented. Rotten meat is soft and tender on sunny days, and it doesn't like to hook. A bait fish can only be used once and should not be kept for a long time. It is better to buy it now and use it now.
6. Fish skin bait
I wonder if anyone has tried to use fish skin as bait? You can choose about 20 pairs of yellow croaker, Hericium erinaceus or chubby head fish, stick two pieces under the spine, remove the excess white meat, then cut into willow leaves about 12 cm, and hook them with big heads.
Fish skin bait has good toughness, strong hook, white color and obvious target after entering the water. Under the impact of running water, the way of swimming resembles a wounded fish, which can greatly stimulate the hunting desire of prey.
7. Live bait
Live bait, as its name implies, is similar to marine worms, shrimps and small fish. Live baits are directly used as fishing bait, which can easily attract the attention of fish when swimming in the water. Once bitten, it's easy to get caught.
Among the live bait I have used, live shrimp is the best. When in use, hook it on the slightly raised corner near the back of the shrimp head and gently put it into the sea. It is specifically mentioned here that if you are fishing for bass, you should suspend the shrimp at a depth of about 1 m above the water surface. If you want to catch grouper or other fish, you need to sink to catch live shrimp.
8. Dead bait
Although live bait is easy to use, we usually use dead bait the most. Whether it is shrimp or insects, the commonly used bait is mainly dead bait. Here are some examples.
(1) Lean pork: This kind of bait is basically liked by all fish, and it's not hard to find. You can find it casually. The usage is a bit complicated. Lean meat needs to be pure lean meat with bright red color, no gluten and no oil. Cut into slender strips, each about 3.5 mm long. Be careful not to cut along the grain. The meat cut along the grain is too hard for the fish to bite. The disadvantage is that small fish are not easy to take the bait, so it is good to catch big fish.
(2) Chicken intestines (belly and liver): not only chickens, but also pigs, ducks and fish. Cut into small pieces and catch snapper. And the effect is excellent.
(3) Flour bait: This kind of bait is used more. The remaining bait such as shrimp and crab meat will be mashed and added with flour to make bait.
