Furong Town and Fenghuang Ancient City have many similarities. They are both national historical and cultural cities, and both are national 4A-level scenic spots. Both are Miao ethnic groups and both have stilted buildings. The difference is their respective cultural atmosphere. In comparison, Fenghuang Ancient City is more literary and artistic. The terrain of Furong Town slopes from northeast to southwest. The highest point, Xinyuan, is 927 meters above sea level, and the lowest point, Shanghe, is 139 meters above sea level. This is one of the reasons for the formation of its waterfall. Fenghuang Ancient City is located in the southwest of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan Province. It was built in the 35th year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty (1556) and has a history of more than 400 years.
