main ingredients: 2g of tremella (dried), 1g of jujube (dried) and 1g of medlar
seasoning: 5g of rock sugar
Steps:
1. Soak tremella in water for as short as one hour or as long as five or six hours. Wash tremella with water for two or three times after soaking, and control the water. Remove the yellow roots of tremella, and tear tremella into small pieces by hand for later use.
2. Soak lotus seeds, red dates and medlar in water. It doesn't take long, but it usually takes ten minutes. Tremella has been processed, and lotus seeds, red dates and medlar are almost the same. Control the water after soaking. Tear the red dates by hand to expose the pulp. This is done to make the sweet taste of red dates easy to come out.
3. Add cold water to the pot, and put the tremella, lotus seeds, "meat-exposed" red dates and medlar together. When the water boils, turn it to a low heat and start to cook slowly. Be careful not to open the lid wide, or it will dry easily.
4. You can smell the red dates soon, but don't worry, it will take at least one and a half hours to cook. Add rock sugar when it's almost cooked, according to personal taste.
5. After the rock sugar is put in, stir it. After a few minutes, the fragrant and delicious nourishing soup can be cooked. It can also be eaten after cooling in the refrigerator.
