Mahi, also known as salmon and mahi-mahi, is a genus of fish in the Salmonidae family of Pacific salmon (genus Mahi-mahi), a cold-water anadromous spawning and migratory fish, found in the northern Pacific Ocean and Arctic Ocean.
The chum salmon belongs to the Salmoniformes, family Salmonidae, and genus Salmon, and is commonly known as Dafaha, Dafaha, Godo, Zimmer, and Chimmer. Salmon are found on the east and west coasts of the Pacific Ocean, and are most abundant in China on the Heilongjiang, Ussuri, and Songhua Rivers, and also on the Tumen, Hunchun, and Mijiang Rivers, Suifen, Nen, and Mudan Rivers, as well as on the Dajia River in Taiwan. Adults are generally 53cm to 81cm in length, weighing 1kg to 5kg, with the largest individuals reaching about 10kg. At present, there are three kinds of salmon distributed in China: common salmon, masu salmon and humpback salmon. Among them, the Masu salmon is the most valuable. Masu salmon meat is delicate, red, tasty, fat content is extremely rich, nutritional value is quite high, its eggs crystal clear, grains such as pearls, rich in phosphate, calcium and vitamins A, D, is recognized as a banquet meal. China's Heilongjiang Province, Jiamusi City, Fuyuan City and Tongjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, Heilongjiang River and the Ussuri River is rich in salmon, is "China's salmon township".
