Most tadpoles feed on algae and eat plankton in the water. Tadpoles also eat mosquito larvae, dried noodles, minced meat, small fish and worms, and bread crumbs. Put the tap water in another basin and leave it overnight. Don't leave it too long. Change water for them once a day or two, and use overnight water. Boil some vegetable leaves, chop them and feed them to tadpoles.
At first, I gave less feed, and then I gradually increased it. Feed it regularly once a day, not too much, so as to avoid the residual water in the feed from spoiling. After each feeding, the residual feed must be removed with a straw, and the water should be changed every one or two days.
It is realistic to keep tadpoles at home. The newly hatched tadpoles have poor adaptability to the external environment. At this time, the digestive organs are not well connected, and the yolk sac in the abdomen provides nutrition without taking in external food.
Matters needing attention in raising tadpoles
1, water quality requirements: When breeding tadpoles, clean river water should be used instead of pure water and tap water, otherwise the death of tadpoles will be accelerated, and water should be changed every 10 day to ensure clean water quality and avoid getting sick after tadpoles are muddy.
2. Breeding environment: Tadpoles like to float and grow near aquatic plants. In the case of large-scale farming, it is necessary to plant plants in the pond to provide a cool environment for tadpoles. If they are kept at home, they should be kept in a cool place to avoid strong light.
3. Disinfection: In the process of raising tadpoles, the fish tank should be disinfected every time after changing water. If tadpoles are cultured in ponds, garlic juice can be added to the feed to sterilize and prevent tadpoles from being infected with bacteria in water.
