The following chart shows the spot price charts of soybean meal, soybeans and soybean oil from January 2012 to February 2013. All three began 2013 with a slight decline after rallying in late November.

The following two charts are the price charts of alternative product rapeseed oil from June 2012 to December 2012 (unit: yuan/ton) and the price chart of peanut oil from December 2007 to February 2013 (unit: yuan/kg). It can be seen that the price of peanut oil has been rising from September 2012 onwards. However, the price of rapeseed oil fell back after reaching a high point in mid-September 2012, and then stabilized and rebounded in December 2012, with the price at RMB 10,730 per ton.
