Snakeberry, also known as snake vine, three-legged tiger. Perennial growth in the mountain slopes, riverbanks, grasslands and moist weeds, all over China are wild, has not yet been artificially introduced into cultivation. Snakeberry, flowering from May to September, fruiting from June to September. Snakeberry's whole grass more entangled into clusters, for the brownish-red polymerized fruit, inedible.
Snakeberry, general seed germination rate is low, usually less than 10%. Artificial propagation, can be separated from its stolon branches in mid-March, cut into 20-30 cm stem segments, buried in 3-5 cm of soil, keep the soil moist, 3 months or so can become a lawn.
