Steps for making bread machine version of homemade strawberry jam
1. Wash the strawberries, remove the tips, and soak them in lightly salted water for 10 minutes
2. Slice the strawberries into small slices (I like jam with a grainy texture, so I just didn't cut them much, and instead, used the (I like my strawberries to be grainy, so I didn't cut them much, but mashed them with the end of a rolling pin)
3. Pour the strawberries into a bread bucket and add the sugar to the bucket
4. Place the bucket in the bread machine, secure it, close the lid, and turn on the "Fancy Jam" program. This takes about an hour and 20 minutes, so just go about your business and leave it alone.
5. Wait patiently for the time to expire and open the lid for a surprise!
6. The jam is still quite hot at this point, so just put it into clean, heat-resistant glass jars while it's still hot, and let it cool upside down.
