Golden pear is a new variety bred by hybridization in Luozhou Branch of Korea Horticultural Experimental Field in the 20th century. Its skin is thin and meat is white and tender. China has many producing areas, including Shandong, Hebei, Shaanxi and Gansu, and Qiuyue pear is a hybrid pear variety introduced from Japan, so the producing area of Qiuyue pear is Japan. Jiaodong is the largest area in northern China.
Golden pear has high temperature resistance, high humidity resistance and weak cold resistance. However, in the frosty, cold and rainy environment at flowering stage, it is easy to frostbite flower organs, which hinders pollination and fertilization and leads to yield reduction.
Don't be too strict with the soil, sandy clay can be planted, and sandy loam with deep soil layer, fertile soil and good drainage is the best. If it is too dry or insufficiently fertilized, it will hinder the growth and development of branches and fruits and the formation of flower buds. In order to restrain the excessive growth of trees and promote more flower buds, we should try to choose soil with good drainage to plant golden pears.
