Longan kernels can be purchased online, or you can collect the kernels you usually eat, wash them and use them as seeds. Note that the seeds need to be full and firm, and those that have been deflated or broken need to be discarded. Longan has a wide range of adaptability to soil. Choosing ordinary garden soil, peat soil or purchased nutrient soil will allow longan kernels to grow well, but the soil is breathable and well-drained.
Longan germination process
First, prepare the seeds of cinnamon. Plant the buds upward in loose, fertile soil that is well aerated and covered with a thin layer of soil. Compact the soil gently. Small buds will grow in about 15 days of normal maintenance.
Direct planting of longan seeds
It is best not to sow longan kernels directly. The selected longan kernels need to be soaked in water to soften their shells before sowing.
Longan germination planting in the soil
After a week of soaking in water, the shells of the seeds have largely fallen off and small shoot tips have grown, at which point they can be planted in the soil.
Longan seed germination method
Choose full and disease-free longan kernels and soak them in water for two days, you will see that the shells have begun to crack. After that, change the water once a day and let them continue to soak in fresh water to break the shells, and after a week you'll be ready to plant the seeds.
How to Grow Longan Sprouts
Longan kernels need to be soaked in water ahead of time, and it takes about 7 days to break the shells and remove them. After removing, plant the longan kernel in the soil with the buds facing upwards and spray water twice a day. Small buds will grow in ten days, and after January they will grow vigorously.
