I chatted with an old classmate on WeChat this afternoon. At first, they were still talking about how they were at school, and then they unconsciously came to the topic of children. (is it true that many girls are like this? Once they are mothers, they can really talk about their children no matter how they talk. )
Now her child has been more than six months old. I asked her if she had added complementary food to her child, and she said she had. But there is a small problem that bothers her, because she doesn't know how to make more complementary food for her children. Then there is this article in my current code. A short article about how to make a 6-month-old baby's complementary food is shared with my old classmates and mothers in need.
Generally, babies can start to try to add complementary food when they are 4-6 months old.
Baby's first complementary food suggestion is best baby rice noodles, and baby rice noodles containing high-iron are the best.
Because the iron content stored in the baby's stomach before, with the growth of the month and the development of the body, the iron content gradually disappeared day by day. However, the iron content in breast milk and formula milk is limited. After the baby adds complementary food, it is best to eat baby rice flour containing high iron content to continue to supplement iron to prevent iron deficiency anemia.
Iron-containing rice flour complementary food is the simplest complementary food made in this period.
Ingredients preparation: appropriate amount of baby rice noodles and warm water.
How to make it: Take a small sterilized bowl and follow the instructions on the rice noodle package.
PS: It's easy to make supplementary food for baby rice paste, but parents should not be too careless.
The ratio of rice flour to warm water should be well controlled, and the water temperature should be just right.
After adding rice paste to the baby for 4 or 5 days in a row, you can consider adding supplementary food such as vegetable paste after you get used to it.
The production of vegetable paste for supplementary food is simply to make the vegetables cooked and then made into mud.
Vegetable puree is mainly divided into two categories: root vegetables and stem and leaf vegetables.
Ingredients preparation: pumpkin warm water
Production method:
Wash the pumpkin, peel and remove the pulp, cut it into small cubes, and then steam it in a pan until soft.
Add some warm water to the steamed pumpkin and grind it into mud with a grinder.
Finally, put a proper amount of pumpkin puree into the brewed rice paste and mix well, or add it separately.
PS: If you use pumpkin with sufficient moisture, you can grind it without adding warm water. In addition, root vegetables such as sweet potatoes, carrots, yams and potatoes are generally steamed in a pot before being added into mud.
Preparation of ingredients: rape and warm water.
Production method:
After washing the rape, remove the stalks and leave the leaves.
Boil the water from the pot, add the colored pages after the water boils, and blanch until it is cooked.
Take it out and put it in a food supplement machine. Add a proper amount of warm water and beat it finely.
Take a proper amount of mashed vegetables and add them to the brewed rice noodle paste, mix well or add them separately.
PS: Stem and leaf vegetables refer to cabbage, baby cabbage, spinach, mustard greens, cabbage and so on. They are used to make vegetable puree, which is usually washed and cooked in a boiling water pot, and then taken out to make puree. And cauliflower, broccoli, these vegetables do the same.
There are not many kinds of complementary foods that can be added by a 6-month-old baby, mainly including baby rice noodles, vegetable puree and fruit puree. The production of fruit puree is even simpler. Just scrape the pulp directly with a stainless steel spoon. In winter, I am afraid that children will eat fruit too cold. Just steam it in the pot and make it into mud.
There are also some treasure mothers who will add egg yolk to their babies at the age of 6 months. When adding, you should pay attention to crushing the egg yolk with warm water into egg yolk paste before adding it, or adding it into rice flour after crushing it. Never crush the egg yolk and give it directly to the baby. The egg yolk is dry and you are afraid of choking if you eat it directly.
There are not many complementary foods for 6-month-old babies, no matter the amount added or the types of complementary foods. As long as mothers remember the principle of gradual progress, there is generally no problem. Vegetable puree and egg yolk (1/8) can be added separately or mixed with rice paste. The first addition can be made according to the ratio of rice flour: vegetable paste 10: 1, and it can be added continuously for several days, and whether there are any adverse reactions is observed. After it is confirmed that there is no problem, it can be added later.
Another point should be paid attention to: it is best to add delicate vegetables during this period, and try not to add vegetables such as celery, which contain more crude fiber and are not easy to digest. The prepared mashed vegetables can be kept fresh or frozen in the refrigerator in the supplementary food box if they can't be eaten at one time.
