Wang Zengqi is very gifted in writing, and is a typical example of a man who is rewarded by God.

When he was young, he also wrote articles with flowing imagery and beautiful rhetoric, such as "Revenge", which begins with a very shocking sentence - "A plain candle, half a jar of wild honey. His eyes can't see the honey now. The honey is in the jar, and he sits on his couch. But he is full of honey, thick, thick."

In the middle is a variety of diverse imagery intertwined, long and short sentences overlap, the language is bright, dense, treacherous and varied, "There are flowers in the copper bowl in the great hall, blooming really well, Ran, like from the bowl of the fog rose up a puff of fog," as if it is a kind of textual experiments, to take the strange and bizarre, the words do not shock and death of the risky road.

But honestly, this text is not difficult to write, stacked out of the gorgeous, more than a few will be tired, tired, the real kung fu is a big trick, "in the silence to hear the thunder".

Mr. Wang is obviously not a person who loves to play word games, and many people around, such as Wen Yiduo, Zhu Ziqing, Shen Congwen, Jin Yuelin and other masters of the "support", and soon returned to the text of the "right way" up. It can be said that Mr. Wang's later writings were all about practicing this "ordinary language" and "inhumane language".

Just like the paragraph in "The Precepts" that we all love, there is actually no gorgeous, complicated language, nor too much embellishment, it is just a simple white description, but it is so beautiful and moving:

I particularly enjoyed reading his "Grape Monthly Order," written month by month, like an old farmer talking to you, and after that you fall in love with the grapes:

"After a heavy rain, come and look at the vineyard, it's called beautiful! White like white agate, red like ruby, purple like amethyst, black like black jade. Bunches upon bunches, full, magnetic bars, erect, radiantly luscious. You'll just move all the jade characters in the Shuowen Jiezi that are partial to the character jade, that won't be enough!"

Looking back carefully, many of Mr. Wang's books, which I finished on the train or plane, are short but plain and interesting life trivia, which is both easy to read and memorable.

He writes of a particular day, "April 2nd. The moonlight is very clear, the night air is very cool"; he writes about the years of the dynasty of clear offerings, "the winter wind is harsh, the flowers withered, clear window to sit, eyes bright, is the years of the dynasty of pleasure"; write about the rain in Kunming, "the city of spring grass and trees deep, Meng summer grass and trees long. The rainy season in Kunming is thick and green. The moisture in the branches and leaves of the grasses and trees are all saturated, showing excessive, almost exaggerated exuberance."

This style of writing, with short sentences in white and lines of ancient meaning between the texts, is probably something only Mr. Wang could write.

Mr. Wang's travelogue is also very well written, not sticking to the form, not just looking for the old to visit the old, is the kind of full of "people" gas, smoke and smell of the writing style.

He went to Meizhou Three Su Shrine, see the lychee trees planted in the courtyard, thought in the relegation of Su Dongpo wrote "Mouthful of lychee 300, do not resign to long as Lingnan people" when the heart of the bitterness; in the Yang Shengan Ancestral Temple, and straight, "do not agree to the ancient literati statue, are almost the same, Qu Yuan, Li Bai, Du Fu a kind"; of course, his pen will not fall Emei Mountain monkeys, Hong Chunping big birds.

Relative to other writers, Mr. Wang's precious thing is that he puts his love for life and every bit of beauty he has experienced into every piece of text; readers can easily feel a kind of common life's fine beauty without any sense of distance through reading his words.

He writes about the flowers and grasses that can be seen everywhere around us: "Shandandandan remembers its age, grows a year, and blooms one more flower", "Yuhuantan acacia blossoms in full bloom, as if it had snowed a lot, and it is so white that it is dazzling"; "pear petals are made of the moon"; "gardenia coarse and thick, and fragrant dusting are not open, so for the elegant people do not take, thought the character is not high. His watermelon in the summer in the "earthly grass":

In fact, in my opinion, Wang Zengqi and Su Dongpo, even if separated by thousands of years, also understand that they are a class of people, lively and interesting, full of enthusiasm for life, even if there are ups and downs in the present world, but still can be resolved with the greatest optimism.

Writing Wang Zengqi has to mention Shen Congwen.

Wang had mentioned this college teacher who had a great influence on him in several articles, and later wrote a special article "My Teacher Shen Congwen".

Mr. Wang recalled that Mr. Shen Congwen had three classes at the United Nations University: exercises in various genres, creative writing practice and the history of the Chinese novel, and Mr. Shen often wrote very long after-reading notes on the back of his students' assignments, which were sometimes longer than the original; Mr. Shen taught him that writing a novel's character dialogues is not a fight between two smart brains, and that it is important to stick to the characters.

He also talked about, once and Shen Congwen read a young writer's novel, Shen said, love to use idioms to write the scene, not. Wang Zengqi said, is to describe the characters, it is not appropriate to use more idioms. Finally, to put the last, Mr. Wang talked about reading:
