Sichuan clams can be bought in pharmacies and even some large supermarkets! There are 2 scales on the outside of the Fritillaria. The large scale hugs the small scale, and the unembraced part is crescent-shaped, commonly known as "holding the moon in the arms"; inside there is a cylindrical heart bud or 1 small scale leaf with a slightly pointed top. 2 pieces; the top is closed, slightly pointed or blunt, the bottom is flat, slightly concave, with a bulb disk in the center and occasional remaining fibrous roots, shaped like a polypod, hence the name Fritillaria. Generally, the larger ones are Zhejiang clams and the smaller ones are Sichuan clams. The size of Sichuan clams is about the same as the size of barley!
