"Beating Pigweed" tells the story of a rural boy and a girl who had a conflict because the crops were damaged by weeding, and they resolved the conflict through antiphonal singing.

The singer Yan Fengying of "Song", formerly known as Yan Hongliu, was born in Luoling, Tongcheng County, Anhui Province (now Huangmei Village, Luoling Town, Yixiu District, Anqing City). Female, member of the Communist Party of China, an outstanding performing artist of Huangmei Opera, one of the founders of the development of Huangmei Opera in China, the shaper of the "Seven Fairies", and an important pioneer and contributor to the inheritance and development of Huangmei Opera in China.

Yan Fengying began to learn to sing Huangmei tune when she was 10 years old, which was not tolerated by her tribe. She later studied opera with Yan Yungao and took the stage name Fengying.
