This is a farewell poem. The first sentence was written from the autumn rain last night, which set a sad atmosphere for farewell. The word "plain" in the second sentence indicates the time of seeing the guests off; "Chugu Mountain" not only describes the whereabouts of a friend, but also implies his feelings when he saw Fujian. Three or four sentences, written about yourself, still accord with the meaning of farewell. Because Xin gradually became a fellow villager of the poet, when he returned to his hometown, his relatives and friends must inquire about the poet. "A piece of ice heart in a jade pot" is a poetic vision, but people always think that "jade pot" and "ice heart" refer to a person's good moral character, which is not realistic. The meaning of "jade pot" is vague, which can refer to sprinkling pots, the moon, lights, dripping water and so on. Interpreting the "jade pot" as a hip flask is not only a joke when pushing a cup for a change, but also very consistent with Wang Changling's mentality at that time.
