1. Sowing time and method
Raspberry can be planted in both spring and autumn, and it is completed after the land is frozen in spring and before the seedlings germinate (March-April); After lignification of seedlings in autumn, it must be completed before land freezing (from 10 to 1 1). Raspberry planting spacing is 2.3m, plant spacing is 0.7m, and there are 4 plants per hole. Please make sure that the roots are filled with water before sowing. When sowing, the roots are 16cm higher than the ground, the seedlings are covered with 25cm soil for compaction, and then watered.
2. Build a framework to guide branching.
When the branches of raspberries grow to 1.6 m, set up a bracket, set up a column at a position of 5-9m in the row, with a height of about 1.4m, and then pull two iron wires on it. The upper end of the wire is fixed at the top of the cylinder, and the lower end is fixed at a position 0.3m above the ground, and then it needs to be placed on the wire above.
prune
It is mainly trimmed three times. Prune the seedlings for the first time after they survive. Cut off the branches that are too dense and the damaged parts. When it grows to about 50 cm, low-density plants can be planted to make plants grow new shoots and increase the growth of shoots. The second pruning is the pruning of the base branch, and its length is about1.4m. If the length of the base branch is greater than 1.5m, it needs pruning. Excess parts need to be cut off to ensure adequate nutrition. After picking the fruit, raspberries need to be pruned for the last time, and the mother branches of the fruit must be cut off.
4. Water and fertilizer management
The first basal fertilizer applied to raspberries is carried out in early autumn, which can be an appropriate amount of chemical fertilizer or decomposed farm manure. The base fertilizer should be evenly applied on the side about 50 cm away from the plant. When applying chemical fertilizers, attention must be paid to maintaining soil moisture. Rubus is a shallow-rooted plant, so it doesn't need to be watered often. When the weather is dry, it should be watered, and the thickness of wet soil should be 35 cm. When you enter the north in winter, you should water it with frozen water once. In arid areas, it is necessary to cover some leaves or straw around raspberry plants to prevent water loss.
5. Other management
In the process of raspberry planting, it is necessary to weed twice a year, and herbicides such as glyphosate can be used. Some shorter plants, such as beans, can be planted on a row of fruit trees, which can improve land utilization and avoid wasting land resources. Raspberry fruits are picked when they are ripe and then directly enter the market.
