What are the benefits of matcha?

Not all matcha is created equal or has the exact same benefits. There's no point in talking about cheap matcha from outside of Japan, which has little to no nutrients in it, or it's full of sweeteners, so it's both disgusting and very sweet.

Good quality matcha, however .... Contains sufficient amounts of 3 key nutrients to provide most of the health benefits of matcha. l-theanine amino acid, catechins, especially EGCG catechin, and caffeine.

Caffeine:

Caffeine is known to boost our energy, but in Matcha, the body absorbs caffeine at a slower rate due to the caffeine molecules being bound to the catechin molecules, resulting in a sustained energy boost instead of the spike and crash effect that is often associated with caffeine caffeine. Expect to need 2 to 4 hours of energy.

L-Theanine

L-Theanine is the most amazing nutrient in Matcha, with the highest levels in the ceremonial grades of Japanese Matcha.L-Theanine makes us feel calm, able to cope with stress, concentrate, improve cognitive performance, and makes us happier because it increases dopamine levels! Perfect at 3 p.m. when many of us are feeling low on energy.

ECGC Catechins:

ECGC catechins are found primarily in tea, in matcha, nature's largest source of tea. These are powerful antioxidants that neutralize free radical causing diseases. Most green tea research is done on EGCG catechins, unless they say that to get the particular benefits you need to drink 7-10-15 cups of green tea a day! With matcha, you only need one or two.

Its antimicrobial properties will help protect your body from harmful bacteria like E. coli. You may be able to use it to treat moderate ailments like acne.

Personally, I would say that the benefits of Matcha (GOTCH MATCHA) are cumulative and noticeable over time. The energy, mental calmness and clarity are indeed immediate, but I would say that you will notice that the effects of EGCG last for a month, 6 months a year ...... or even, as I did, 13 years until skin health, dental hygiene, weight management, etc.
