How to plant cowpea (text)
Cowpea is one of our common vegetables, which can be divided into long cowpea and rice cowpea. There are many kinds of cowpea farmers in China. So how should cowpeas be planted? I'll introduce it to you today.

1, land selection, cowpea itself is barren-resistant, so the requirements for soil are not high, so ordinary soil can be planted, but for the sake of yield and quality, the soil with flat terrain, abundant sunshine, good drainage and good air permeability should be selected; 2. During the sowing period, cowpea likes a warm climate, which can be planted from spring to autumn, or through greenhouse technology all year round. Generally, it is planted in the open field from February to August. The temperature at this stage is suitable for the growth of cowpea, but March-July is the most suitable. However, the climate environment is different in different places, so sowing should be carried out according to the local climate conditions to avoid the low temperature season.

3. Sowing: First of all, we should choose good quality varieties. Sowing is generally in the form of on-demand sowing. According to the plant spacing of 40×50cm, each hole is sown with 2 seeds, and after sowing, the soil is covered with 1 ~ 2cm. After covering the soil, pour enough water, and then cover it with plastic film to keep warm and moist, so as to facilitate the emergence of seedlings. However, in summer, we should be careful not to cover the seeds with plastic film, so as to avoid the failure of seed germination due to the temperature under the film. On the contrary, we should pay attention to the high temperature, which is not good for seed germination, and pay attention to watering and keeping the soil moist to facilitate seedling emergence. 4. Field management In the early stage of sowing and transplanting, attention should be paid to water management to ensure the emergence or survival rate. We should pay attention to the time of live broadcast. When three or four real leaves grow, seedlings will be fixed. Generally, two strong seedlings should be left in each hole. If there is a shortage of seedlings, it should be supplemented in time to ensure that the seedlings are in good condition. Fertilize in time after seedling establishment. We need a lot of nutrients in the vine-pulling period and the flowering and fruiting period, and we need to fertilize in time to ensure sufficient nutrients.
