Ruichang has a long history of planting cannabis with excellent quality, and is one of the main counties (cities) producing high-quality cannabis in China. 1923 Ruichang Ramie won the quality award of Southeast Asia Expo. The planting area is more than 50 thousand mu, and the output of raw hemp is 7500 tons, which is one third of that of Jiangxi. The main ramie varieties can reach 2300 fibers, which can be used as high-grade textile raw materials. China's ramie processing industry can produce refined ramie and hemp yarn and other primary products, forming a 6000-ton processing plant.
