Sea melon seeds are a kind of small aquatic products with the size and shape like melon seeds. They are delicious when grown on the beach, so they must be cleaned when eaten. Because sea melon seeds grow on the beach, there will always be sediment in their shells, so soak them in salt water in advance, let them spit out sediment and then wash them with water.
It is a unique seafood in Chaoshan area of Guangdong and southeastern Fujian. It lives in the tidal flats of outer bays or islands with high salinity, likes to gather in groups, often sticks together in pieces, and is attached to the sediment with sufficient silk (commonly known as ingot). When mature, the female is orange and the male is milky white. There are two kinds of wild and artificial stocking.
