Most people don't know much about the structure of mussels, so many people don't know much about how to wash mussel meat. To sum up three points, you can easily wash the clam meat.
When the outer membrane is uncovered, you will see something like gills, both sides of which are light yellow or orange, so you should remove it, and there is a black mud intestine behind it, too.
Clap your hands: There is a part on the mussel's body that looks like an axe's mouth, called the axe's foot, which needs to be loosened with a knife. This step is very important, otherwise there will be chewing.
Wash: There is a lot of mucus in clam meat. Soak in alum water (or salt water) for 5-6 minutes, and then rinse with clear water.
