What books should Chinese medicine beginners read?
For beginners of Chinese medicine, if I teach Chinese medicine by myself, my general order is Chinese medical history-basic theory of Chinese medicine-diagnosis of Chinese medicine-Chinese pharmacy-prescription-internal medicine of Chinese medicine. Although the quality of the current textbooks is not high, they are often criticized by people, but at least their views are comprehensive and not extreme (there are many schools of Chinese medicine, each holding its own view and being biased). If you start from a certain school, such as the popular Vulcan school, it is easy to go astray. But the textbook itself doesn't need to be read too deeply, and it doesn't need to spend too long at this stage. It doesn't matter if you don't understand some things for the time being, so you don't need to delve into them. After entering the next stage of study from typhoid fever, many things will naturally begin to understand.

The Chinese medicine books I answered are all in the lower right corner of the picture. Basically, there are about 50,000 to 60,000 books covering various categories of Chinese medicine, all of which are electronic versions.

Some books are too shallow, such as "Manual for Human Body Use" and "It's better to seek medical help than yourself", and I have read these books, and many viewpoints are biased and not recommended very much.

Some books are too deep, such as Huangdi Neijing, Shennong Materia Medica Classic and Four Sages Heart Source. They are all in classical Chinese, and many contents are still difficult to understand literally.

The personally recommended bibliography is as follows: Let's take a look at "The Road to Famous and Old Chinese Medicine", which is a summary of their learning process by many Chinese medicine practitioners. Everyone's suggestions are different, but their experiences have many similarities.

Next, look at the fifth edition of Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine edited by Professor Yin Huihe, which can be regarded as an overall framework for traditional Chinese medicine. Then take a look at Sixteen Lectures on Clinical Pulse, Frequency Lake Pulse, Diagnostics of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the atlas of tongue diagnosis, and have a systematic understanding of the diagnostic methods of traditional Chinese medicine.

Next, you can roughly dabble in classics, such as Huangdi Neijing, Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Treatise on Epidemic Febrile Diseases. However, it will still be difficult to look at them directly. At the same time, you should start studying Chinese medicine and prescription at the same time at this stage, and you don't have to use university textbooks, series of lectures by famous teachers and doctors, or some ancient Chinese medicine books, such as Changsha Yaoxie. What needs special emphasis is that you can't be lazy at this stage! ! ! What should be recited must be recited! ! There is no shortcut! ! There is no discount to play! ! I can't remember the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine, I can't remember the composition of prescriptions firmly, and I can't recite the provisions of typhoid fever. I'd better not learn this medicine before it's too late! ! !

Finally, there are clinical disciplines, including but not limited to TCM internal medicine, TCM gynecology, TCM pediatrics, TCM orthopedics and so on. Similarly, you don't have to use textbooks. Many ancient books are equally good. There are too many books to read at this stage, just to name a few chestnuts: Gynecology in Fu Qingzhu, Guide to Pediatric Medicine Syndrome, Learning from the West in Medical Enthusiasm, Jingyue Quanshu, Medical Zong Jin Jian, Spleen and Stomach Theory, as well as a large number of works summarizing clinical experience and compiling prescriptions, such as Li Kelao's Experience Album on Acute and Difficult Diseases of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zhao Shaoqin's 400 Clinical Methods. But if you want to see it all, it is obviously more difficult. So at this stage, you can selectively dabble in it according to your own interests and needs.

Take a look at the lower right corner of the recommended Chinese medicine books. All these Chinese medicine books have electronic versions in them.

Later, you can look at these Chinese medicine books, and you can study and study them in depth if you have enough time or deep interest.
