Translation:
Leading a horse to drink water crossed the river, and the biting autumn wind in Shui Han was like a sword.
The battlefield is vast, the sunset has not yet fallen, and the distant Lintao is seen in the darkness.
In those days, there was a fierce battle on the Great Wall, and it was said that the soldiers guarding the border had high spirits.

Appreciation of "Sai Xia Qu"
The characteristic of this poem in conception is to express the theme with profile description. The poem does not specifically describe the war, but expresses the poet's views on the war through the description of the scenery beyond the Great Wall and the relics of the past war.
