Dongpo District was called Meizhou in ancient times. Since ancient times, it has a wealth of things, outstanding people, beautiful mountains and rivers, and is located in Xishu. It was a state and county administration as early as 1000 years ago. After the founding of New China, there was a Meishan area, which was changed to meishan county after it was abolished, and it successively belonged to Leshan and Meishan. On February 20th, 2000/KLOC-0, it was rebuilt as Dongpo District.
